The Diversity Program was created to focus and equally serve all parents in the State of Oregon.
We use the word 'Diversity' to identify populations such as: homeless, children in the juvenile justice system, ethnic groups, indigents, foster care children, teenage parents and of course the general population.
Having said that, and remembering that the Oregon r.i.s.e. Center has a commitment of educating and supporting parents, families and professionals, it is our goal via this Program to focus on doing outreach to each cultural, socioeconomic and regional group.
We have committed ourselves to recognizing the strengths, values and assets that everyone possesses and would like to offer an opportunity for all families to learn and contribute to improve our resources and services. We would like to make sure that all of our services and information are available, accessible and adjusted to a variety of needs.
We also want to acknowledge that the challenge before us is great. It is important to know that we have a definite goal and commitment within our organization and we will work to find more efficient ways to serve you.
We respectfully ask that you take advantage of this program and the opportunity to participate and collaborate with r.i.s.e.. The resource is here, please helps us make it be a success by participating and contributing to our organization in any way you can.
It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.
